A wellbeing hub has been recognised for its work in the community with a "prestigious" award.
Pershore Wellbeing Hub was crowned the 'Volunteer Team of the Year' at the Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre's Awards Evening 2024.
The award, which recognises a team that has demonstrated exceptional work and communication in pursuit of a common goal, was presented at the Angel Hotel on Friday, October 27.

Mary Gleaves, who accepted the award on behalf of the hub, said the team was "pleased to have been nominated for the award and are absolutely delighted to have our hard work and achievements recognised at such a prestigious event".
She explained: "Although the hub is based in Pershore and has a drop-in centre on the high street, it is open to everyone, regardless of where they live.
"Appointments are not necessary and anyone can visit or phone for help."
Gilly Podd, a volunteer, said: "Some GPs suggest that their patients visit the hub as the volunteers have virtually unlimited time to listen to people’s concerns and will always be welcomed with a cup of tea and an empathetic ear."
The hub can be contacted on 01386 555018 or via their website pershorewellbeinghub.co.uk.
The hub is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
