A CAR has become wedged on top of a wall after a crash involving a lamppost at the entrance to a doctor's surgery in Worcester.
The Vauxhall crashed into a lamppost wall and became stuck on top of the wall outside the entrance to Barbourne Health Centre in Crown Street during the incident in Worcester today.
The car displayed damage to the bonnet and was wedged at an angle on top of the wall. The car had also knocked down a permit holders only sign.
Cones and fire service tape had been placed around the car.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to reports of a car being in collision with a lamppost at 2.42pm this afternoon on Barbourne Road, Worcester outside the Barbourne Health Centre.
"The car was left wedged at an angle by the collision. No one was hurt but the female driver of the car was taken into the centre to be looked after by staff. The fire service made the street light safe, and the vehicle was due to be recovered by around 4pm."
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a car that had crashed into a wall on Droitwich Road at 2.43pm, one ambulance attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was the driver of the car. Thankfully, following assessment at the scene it became apparent the woman had not suffered any serious injuries and she was discharged."
