The care home has been recognised for its beneficial impact on the health and wellbeing of its residents, with nature forming an important part of life at the home.

Residents are encouraged to spend time outdoors, and the gardens are a communal space for residents and staff to enjoy together.

The home has previously held display events such as the Potted Perfection display in July, where they recycled old bicycles, footwear, and a pram to promote healthy lifestyles and environmental consciousness.

The gardens are a space for all to enjoy, whether that be for a walk, planting in the greenhouse, or simply relaxing in the summer house.

Many families have also planted trees or set up memorial benches to honour late residents.

Caring UK Awards event director Dominic Musgrave said: "The Caring UK Awards are now in their seventh year and with more entries than ever before, our finalists really have reason to celebrate too as it’s a huge achievement to have made the shortlist and is testament to the teams behind each."

The winners of the Caring UK Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Athena in Leicester on Thursday, December 5, where the industry will gather to celebrate all that is great about the care sector.
