A man suffered serious injuries in a field near Worcester which prompted the arrival of the air ambulance.
Unmarked police cars, a trauma team and an air ambulance were called to an incident in which a man required lifesaving support.
The incident happened on Pershore Lane on Sunday (September 29) morning and the road was closed.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.35am (Sunday 29 September) to a field off Pershore Lane, Worcester following concerns for the welfare of a patient.
"Three ambulances, a paramedic officer, HART paramedics, a MERIT trauma team and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.
"Crews arrived to find a man with serious injuries requiring medical treatment.
"He was treated on scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further specialist care."
West Mercia Police have been approached for comment.
