COMMUTERS in Worcester are set to be impacted with many road closures taking place over the next few weeks. 

Worcestershire County Council has revealed the roads in the city that are set to close over the next two weeks.

There are several ongoing road closures that will remain in place over the next 14 days as well as several new closures drivers will need to be aware of.

Ongoing roadworks

The closure of Old Road, which has been in place since February, is set to remain in place until July 29, 2025 for road improvement works. 

Essential electricity works are currently taking place on Claphill Lane, meaning it will remain closed until just before midnight on Friday, October 4. 

Northwick Road closed on Friday (September 27) and won't re-open until 5pm on October 11 for Worcestershire County Council to conduct roadworks. 

Upcoming works 

Foregate Street will be closed by Network Rail between 10pm on Tuesday, October 1 and 6am on Thursday, October 3 so they can carry out repairs to the drainage along the railway bridge.

Williamson Street will be closed by Worcestershire County Council for roadworks between 4.30pm on October 6 and 5am on October 20. 

Albany Terrace will be closed between 7am on October 4 and 5pm on October 18 for county council roadworks. 

Cadent will be closing Flag Meadow Walk and Shrubbery Road between October 7 and October 10 due to roadworks. 

And between 7am on October 10 and 4.35pm on October 21, Worcestershire County Council will be closing Troutbeck Drive for roadworks.
