A WOMAN was found safe and well after emergency boat crews were called to a river rescue over a concern for safety.
A woman in her 30s was located following a search of the river by Grandstand Road in Worcester on Thursday (September 26).
A spokesperson for the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews attended the incident, one each from Worcester and Droitwich Fire Station, including the Droitwich water first responders.
Also in attendance were boat crews from Worcester and Evesham, the incident support unit from Droitwich and the service drone from Wyre Forest, all called to a 'rescue from water' at Grandstand Road, Worcester.
A spokesperson for the fire service added: "Boats were launched and a search of the river was carried out. The drone was also used.
"A woman in her 30s self-presented to the police, who attended along with ambulance and HART. The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.02pm."

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers attended the Sabrina Bridge at around 3.50pm yesterday for a concern for safety. Enquiries were carried out and a woman was located."
