A charity has announced a year-long partnership with a beauty brand to support its campaign.

Make 2nds Count, a charity focused on secondary breast cancer, will team up with LAB FACTOR, which is based just outside of Droitwich, to support its campaign ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

This partnership is of personal significance to the business' founder Angelina Salacinski, whose sister Toni died aged 47 after a secondary breast cancer diagnosis.

Ms Salacinski said: "We are incredibly thrilled to support Make 2nds Count as their corporate partner.

"In honour of my sister Toni, whom we sadly lost to secondary breast cancer, we deeply understand the importance of the work M2C does.

"Our goal is to raise as much money as possible to support their amazing efforts."

Toni initially experienced stomach problems and was misdiagnosed with gallstones.

In June 2013, she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, which had spread to her lungs and liver.

She died a few months later.

Sam Dixon, CEO of the charity, said: "We are thrilled to team up with LAB FACTOR this year.

"Angelina’s personal connection to the cause and her dedication to supporting secondary breast cancer awareness and research align perfectly with our mission.

"Make 2nds Count relies entirely on fundraising through corporate partnerships, funders and individuals to continue their vital work with the secondary breast cancer community, and this partnership will not only raise crucial funds but also help spread the word about the realities of living with SBC for both patients and their friends and families.

"We are incredibly grateful for LAB FACTOR’s ongoing support."

Secondary breast cancer, also known as metastatic or advanced breast cancer, affects an estimated 61,000 men and women in the UK.

This form of cancer claims the lives of 1,000 individuals each month, with an average of 31 lives lost every day.

LAB FACTOR, known for its eco-conscious beauty products, will support the charity as its official sponsor for BCAM.

The partnership will kick off with a charity raffle in October, offering participants the chance to win exclusive beauty products.

Additionally, the business will be selling a special edition branded beauty mat throughout BCAM, with half of sales going towards the charity.
