A 'definitive' guide to the best pubs in the county for real ale has been published by CAMRA with five boozers in Worcester making the grade.
Five pubs in Worcester feature in CAMRA's The Good Beer Guide 2025, published by the Campaign for Real Ale, to celebrate the best places across the country to enjoy real ales and ciders.
The pubs in Worcester to feature are: the Ale Hub Micropub in Abbotsbury Court, St Peter's in Worcester; Dragon Inn in The Tything; the Oil Basin Brewhouse in Copenhagen Street; The Imperial Tavern in St Nicholas Street and The Plough in Fish Street.
Other pubs across the county made the cut with pubs in Evesham, Pershore, Stourport, Kidderminster, Redditch, Upon, Bewdley, Knightwick, Malvern and Tenbury all earning a place.
Fred Jones, landlord of The Imperial Tavern (Black Country Ales) in Worcester said: "It's an honour and we're chuffed to bits every time we're included. It's only a select few that do make it in and we're absolutely delighted.
"It's a testament to the hard work of the team, making sure the product is as good as it can be for customers. It's always a privilege to be in there and we strive to be in it every year."
The Imperial has been in the guide for the last three years and Mr Jones said he makes sure he has a wide range of ales on a rotating basis. It is described in the guide as a 'smart city pub' which serves three real ales from the brewery but up to six more from smaller breweries and up to six real ciders.
