Enquiries into what happened at the property are ongoing.

The eyewitness told the Worcester News the first he was aware of the incident was when his partner arrived back home from work and told him what was going on.

By 6.50pm, about 20 armed police were on the scene.

From his house window, the eyewitness saw police swarm around a nearby apartment block.

The man was able to take several images of the incident, including some of the armed police being stationed outside his back garden.

It is understood the police remained at the scene for around two hours, with the eyewitness able to record them leaving Wheelwright Close.

According to the eyewitness, police surrounded one of the apartment blocks on Wheelwright Close before moving to a house nearby.

He told the Worcester News: "I found out about the armed police because my partner was arriving from work and told me, and she was told not to go past and to go home as there was a life-threatening situation happening.

"There were loads of armed police surrounding the houses.

"We weren't sure what happened exactly but there was a heavy police presence for sure.

"Once the police finished in the block of apartments, they went over to one of the houses opposite."

The eyewitness added the situation was 'concerning.'
