A 29-year-old man accused of growing cannabis in two vacant shops opposite a police station will appear before a judge.
Jetmir Xhepmetaj, 29, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the production of cannabis in two vacant shops in Ombersley Street East in Droitwich.
The defendant is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on October 17 following the warrant executed by West Mercia Police on Wednesday morning.
We have previously reported how officers used chainsaws to cut their way through a glass window in the shop front during the warrant, discovering 176 plants with an estimated street value of up to £147,480. The plants have now all been destroyed.
He has been remanded in custody until the next hearing.
