ANOTHER signalling system fault is set to cause train delays in Worcester, Malvern and Evesham.

The signalling system fault at Evesham means trains will have to run at a reduced speed on some lines.

Trains running between Worcester Shrub Hill and Oxford may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

The disruption is set to last until 3.30pm and will also impact commuters in Great Malvern and Worcester Foregate Street.

A signalling fault at Worcester Foregate Street has been delaying services to and from Hereford via Great Malvern and Ledbury since Tuesday.

At around 10am this morning a Network Rail spokesperson said this signalling fault had been fixed, although rail replacement services were kept on standby just in case.

A spokesperson for Network Rail said: “We are sorry for recent disruption on the line between Hereford and Worcester, caused by an intermittent fault with the signalling system near Shelwick Green.

"We are working to permanently fix it as soon as possible. Passengers should check with National Rail Enquiries or West Midlands Railway for the latest travel information.”
