DRIVERS are set to be impacted by current and upcoming road closures in the next few weeks. 

Worcestershire County Council's highways department has revealed how many roads will be closed over the next 14 days. 

Many road closures are currently in place, with others scheduled to begin over the next few weeks. 

In total, there will be ten road closures taking place across Worcester over the next two weeks.

The closures could last anywhere between six hours and ten months. 

Current road closures

The closure of Old Road, which has been in place since February, is set to remain in place until July 29, 2025 for road improvement works. 

Essential electricity works are currently taking place on Claphill Lane, meaning it will remain closed until just before midnight on Friday, October 4. 

Bromyard Road will remain closed until Sunday, September 22 at 6am so Worcestershire County Council can carry out maintenance works.

Road improvement works will also be taking place on Norton Road until 5pm on Friday, September 27. 

And Colin Road, which closed on Tuesday, September 17 to reconstruct the footway, won't re-open until 4.35pm on Friday, September 27. 

Upcoming road closures 

Severn Trent will be closing Wylds Lane on Sunday, September 22 between 9.30am and 5pm for roadworks. 

On Saturday, September 21 the High Street will be closed between 8.30am and 2pm for the Worcester International Peace Event

Foregate Street will be closed by Network Rail between 10pm on Tuesday, October 1 and 6am on Thursday, October 3 so they can carry out repairs to the drainage along the railway bridge.

St George's Lane North will close from 9.30am until 2.30pm on Thursday, September 26 for roadworks. 

And Bilford Road will close between 9am and 5pm on Sunday, September 22 for roadworks.
