A TV and radio presenter is set to bring an open conversation about ADHD to Worcester.

Hester Grainger, who was diagnosed with ADHD in her forties, promises an honest look at life with the condition in ADHD: Unmasked.

The event is aimed at those with ADHD, whether diagnosed or not, supportive friends and family, or those who want to learn more about ADHD brains.

The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and hear stories and experiences of the condition.

Grainger began her TV career presenting on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff before going on to work on Loose Women and Today with Des and Mel.

She has also appeared on various radio stations including BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5 Live, and even hosted her own show on BBC Radio Berkshire.

Grainger said: "I am so excited that I get to tour the UK talking about ADHD, which is something I am so passionate about.

"Having been diagnosed in my forties, I’ve spent my whole life wondering why I do things in a certain way and now I know why.

"With the increase in awareness, a lot of people have questions and are keen to understand more."

She added: "The evening is going to be a fun, entertaining, and honest conversation about ADHD, where the audience will get to ask questions and nothing is off limits."

She has also been a guest on numerous podcasts including ADHD Chatter, The Hidden 20%, and ADHD Women's Wellbeing Podcast.

She has written about neurodiversity for publications including the Huffington Post, Evening Standard, Reader’s Digest, and Arabian Business.

In 2020, Grainger and her husband Kelly, who are both neurodivergent, co-founded Perfectly Autistic, a neurodiversity consultancy.

Grainger is also a mum to two autistic and ADHD teens.

They work with organisations to support neurodivergent employees through training, talks, webinars, and coaching.

Grainger will bring the event to the Swan Theatre on Wednesday, May 21.
