A Worcester theatre group has continued its partnership with Worcester Theatres as its chosen charity for an upcoming performance of a classic musical film.
Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society (WODS) will perform Sister Act in October, with funds going towards the restoration of the theatre.
The Swan Theatre, a key cultural venue since 1965, recently secured a 99-year lease from Worcester City Council.

However, it now requires significant upgrades, including toilet refurbishments, new lighting rigs, and electrical system updates.
Sarah-Jane Morgan, Worcester Theatres' CEO, who recently joined WODS' Sister Act rehearsals, expressed her gratitude for WODS' longstanding support.
She emphasised the partnership's importance in ensuring the theatre's future.
WODS will also be raffling prizes such as VUE Cinema tickets, beauty treatments, and Boots products.
Tickets are available now from Worcester Theatres and Huntingdon Hall’s box office on 01905 611427, or at worcestertheatres.co.uk.
The performance is set to take place from Tuesday, October 8 until Saturday, October 12 at 7.30pm each evening at the Swan Theatre with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
