THE CITY has been taken over by live music with over 250 performances scheduled across three days.

Worcester Music Festival started on Friday (September 13) and will no doubt see music lovers from across Worcester and beyond venturing across 23 of the city's best venues to catch some emerging and established talent for free.

But with so much music scheduled across Saturday and Sunday, we have picked out 10 bands and solo singers that festival-goers shouldn't miss.

Felicity Mitchell

Solo singer Felicity Mitchell from Cheltenham brings the fresh pop vibes on Sunday evening.

Kick The Clown

Made in Worcester, rowdy punk band Kick The Clown are amongst the headliners on Saturday night.

Kaiju Blue

Set to bring their electro mash-ups to the stage on Saturday evening, two-piece band Kaiju Blue have been called "anthemic" by BBC Radio 1.

HEY YOU GUYS!

Bringing the energetic beats, acoustic rockers HEY YOU GUYS! hail from Worcester and headline on Sunday night.

The Samples

First formed in 1978, three-piece Worcester band The Samples and their punk rock sounds will hit the stage on Saturday night.

The Johnny Oates Band

Upbeat and feel-good, The Johnny Oates Band is originally from Preston and their summertime sounds are a perfect way to wrap up the season.

  • Sunday, September 15 at St Swithun's Institute Halls from 7.45pm.

Jiksaw

Four-piece rock band Jiksaw hail from Worcester and Kidderminster and are guaranteed to bring the noise this weekend.

Rachaayluu

The soulful sounds of Malvern singer-songwriter Rachaayluu have been featured on BBC Music Introducing.

Nova Rise

Four-piece alternative rock band Nova Rise only formed this year and bring their punchy melodies to Worcester Music Festival.

Kyle Parsons

Just one man and his guitar, Stourbridge singer-songwriter Kyle Parsons is a dynamic indie artist performing three times during the festival.
