A TEENAGER has been charged after a stolen car crash and multiple reported mobility scooter thefts in the city.

The 15-year-old from Worcester has been charged with 13 offences, including burglary, theft, and taking vehicles without the owner’s consent.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged and remanded yesterday (Tuesday, September 10) after he was arrested on Monday for an incident.

The 15-year-old has been charged with three counts of burglary, dwelling, and theft and associated taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

He has also been charged with two counts of theft of a mobility scooter, one count of attempted theft of a mobility scooter, business burglary with intent to steal, and three counts of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

He is expected to appear in Worcester Youth Court today (Wednesday). 

An Audi Q3 crashed in Whittington, where the A4440 Whittington Road meets the A44 near Worcester, on Monday afternoon after reports that the occupants had fled the scene.

The vehicle was reported stolen during a 'car key burglary' at Lower Broadheath, near Worcester, in the early hours of Monday.

A burglar forced entry to a house in the village before taking the car keys and then the car itself.

West Mercia Police are keen to secure any CCTV from around 1.35pm in Walkers Lane and Kilbury Drive in Worcester.
