FEARS for the safety of a person in a lorry which had potentially live wire cables hanging over it forced police to close a main road.
Police were called to Station Road in Pershore at about 6pm yesterday evening (Monday, September 9).
When called, police originally thought the incident was a crash.
However, they found it was due to concerns for the welfare of someone who was in a lorry parked near to Station Road.
Upon arrival, officers saw there were some potentially live wire cables hanging over the vehicle and into the road.
Station Road was shut by West Mercia Police at the junction with Queen Elizabeth Drive shortly after officers arrived at the scene.
The road remained closed while it could be made safe again for passing traffic and no injuries were reported.
