A 15-year-old boy was detained by a member of the public after it was reported he fled the scene of a crash involving a 'stolen car'.
The Audi Q3 crashed in Whittington where the A4440 Whittington Road meets the A44 near Worcester yesterday (Monday) afternoon before the occupants fled the scene, one of whom was later detained.

The vehicle was reported stolen during a 'car key burglary' at Lower Broadheath, near Worcester in the early hours of Monday. A burglar forced entry to a house in the village before the car keys were taken then the car itself.

"He (the suspect) drove off, narrowly missing another car and crashing into the roundabout," said a police spokesperson.
