A new city centre bar set to open at the end of the year has applied for a premises licence for the late-night sale of alcohol.

The Foregate, located at 42 Foregate Street in Worcester, has submitted an application detailing its plans to provide entertainment and alcohol sales throughout the week.

The application is on the Public Notice Portal.

Nick Carroll, who is developing the site, also has plans to hold live music performances every Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 11pm.

Furthermore, the venue has applied to play recorded music from 5pm to 11pm from Monday to Wednesday, from 4pm to 1am from Thursday to Friday, from 1pm to 1am every Saturday, and from 1pm to 11pm on Sundays.

The sale of alcohol will be between midday and 11pm from Monday to Wednesday, midday to 1am from Thursday to Saturday and midday to 11pm on Sundays.

Residents of Worcester and interested parties are encouraged to submit any concerns or comments they may have about the application.

Viewing the record of the application is also allowed by appointment.

The Foregate project, which is expected to complete in early December, comes as part of a wider development project by Mr Carroll, who owns Nick Carroll Architects in Broad Street.

The development also includes 13 one-bedroom apartments, some of which will be available for rental and for booking on Airbnb.
