ARMED police screamed "everyone come out with your hands up" as neighbours evacuated homes after reports of a 'gun'.
Warndon residents were startled to see police officers with guns in Chedworth Drive after there were concerns a man was illegally in possession of a firearm.
Police cars blocked Chedworth Drive and Cranham Drive today (Friday) while police searched a city flat.

One neighbour said: “They blocked the road and stopped everyone from going down it.
“Firearms then went through the community gardens (of the flats).
“There were two armed police and the rest were then normal.
“There were also six undercover officers.
“Two people were brought out and they searched the property.
“It does make you suspicious when you see armed police."
Another neighbour recalled how they heard police shout: "Everyone come out with your hands up."
West Mercia Police said it searched the property and found nothing unusual, so no arrests were made.
Officers were then seen leaving the scene at around 1.50pm.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Police attended an address in Chedworth Drive around 11.50am this morning over concerns a man was illegally in possession of a firearm at the address.
"Officers attended, and a search was carried out. Nothing untoward was found and no arrests have been made."
One neighbour claimed to see a woman and a man being taken out of the flat by police while another claimed they heard someone had a 'gun'.
Another said: "We were told someone had a firearm or a weapon and police were there.
"When we came back (from the shops), there was an armed police response."
A picture taken from the scene shows three armed police officers and a police dog outside the flat.
One of the officers is pointing a gun at the property.
