A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment as large numbers of police officers swooped on a city street, blocking the road with marked cars.
Large numbers of police vehicles and officers arrived at Church Road and Vauxhall Street in Worcester on Thursday night, making an arrest.
Four marked police cars blocked Church Road in Worcester and there was also police activity in Vauxhall Street.
At 9.45pm, Church Road was blocked by police cars with some residents unable to get to their homes by car during the incident. Some residents came out into the street to see what was happening.

Police officers at the scene declined to give details and the reporter was asked to contact the press office. Officers could also be seen gathered at a door in Church Road during the incident
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers were searching for a man yesterday evening (5 September) and he was found within a property on Church Road in Worcester.
"The 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment."
