AN ONLINE study has revealed that the river Severn is amongst the UK's most beautiful fishing rivers.
Scottish fashion brand House of Bruar ranked the UK's 10 most picturesque fishing locations according to the number of hashtags each one has on social media platform Instagram.
The river Severn ranked second on the list with 106,345 hashtags attributed to the Barbel Alley fishing spot on the banks of the river in Shropshire.
The river Severn was ranked only marginally behind the river Avon in Hampshire which generated 108,813 Instagram hashtags.
