A CELEBRATION with live music will be held at a riverside country pub as the family which runs it mark a significant milestone.

The Camp House Inn in Grimley near Worcester will mark the 85th anniversary of the same family running the pub with an all-day party on Saturday.

The 'Wainwright's 85th anniversary celebration' includes a DJ C Hill performing throughout the day.

The anniversary of the family taking over the pub in 1939 is technically December  9 but they decided to hold it early because of the risk of flooding.

A performance by Chalky's Mod, Soul and Ska Show is due to take place at 2pm with Nice and Sleazy performing from 8pm.

Jo Wainwright Scarrott, the daughter of landlord and landlady Jim and Lyn Wainwright, said: "We invite all friends old and new to come and share the occasion with Jim Wainwright and family."
