THE HOT weather may be fading but the summer jump racing season still has life in it yet.

Worcester Racecourse, which is set alongside the river Severn in the heart of the city, hosts 21 National Hunt horseracing fixtures each year between April and October, meaning there's still plenty of action for punters to look forward to.

Entrants aged 17 and under go free to each meeting, making it the perfect outing for families.

A mixture of afternoon and evening race meetings are still to come in September and October, so here are the remaining dates to look out for.

Wednesday, September 11

The next meeting at Worcester Racecourse is an evening of jump racing. Gates open at 2pm on the day, with the first race of the meeting scheduled for 4.03pm. The final race is scheduled for 7.10pm.

Entrants aged 17 and under can go for free, while advance general admission tickets cost £16.50 per adult.

Monday, September 16

Just five days later, Worcester Racecourse hosts a Monday afternoon meeting featuring seven jump races. Gates open at 12pm and the first race is scheduled for 1.55pm. The final race is scheduled for 4.30pm.

Advance general admission tickets cost £16.50 per adult.

Friday, September 27

The final meeting of September is the Fixed Brush Series Final, where six races are scheduled across Friday afternoon. Gates open at 12pm, with the first race starting at 2pm while the final race has been scheduled for 4.55pm.

Advance general admission tickets cost £20.50 per adult.

Wednesday, October 16

Racing returns to Wednesday afternoons in October with seven races scheduled on the day. Gates open from 12.15pm before the meeting's first race begins at 2.15pm. The final race is scheduled for 5.15pm.

Early bird adult tickets cost £16.50.

Wednesday, October 23

As the cold begins to set in, Worcester Racecourse hosts its season finale with seven jump races scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. Gates open at 12.08pm before the first race begins at 2.08pm - leading to the final race of the season at 5.38pm.
