A Worcestershire-based accountancy firm has announced the acquisition of another nearby company as part of its expansion.
Full-service accountancy and advisory firm, Hayward Wright, which has offices in Worcester and Redditch, has acquired Cannock-based accountancy firm Ansell Munden.
This step will grow the team to 33 members and increase the firm's presence across the West Midlands, including Staffordshire.
The acquisition will include an expanded range of services for clients of both firms.
Ansell Munden brings new capabilities in sectors such as not-for-profit, enabling Hayward Wright to offer interim finance director support to clients and enhance its existing recovery and restructuring services.
There will also be a change of employer for all Ansell Munden staff members, including Paul Moore, its managing director, who will now join the senior leadership team at Hayward Wright.
Alistair Hayward-Wright, managing director at the company, said: "We are delighted that the team at Ansell Munden are joining Hayward Wright.
"Bringing both businesses together under the Hayward Wright brand will bring benefits to clients as we can offer a greater breadth of services and continue to develop our accountancy and advisory offering to SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
"The acquisition reflects our desire to continue to grow across the Midlands region where we see significant opportunity to offer advisory support to businesses and individuals that go beyond the traditional accountancy firm model."
Mr Moore said: "It is an exciting time to be joining Hayward Wright and we are delighted to be working with Alistair and his team.
"Our existing clients will see a significant benefit in both firms coming together as we join a larger, full-service accountancy team, and it will see us offering additional value to those existing clients of Hayward Wright.
"I have known Alistair and his firm for many years and there has always been a strong alignment in our values and client-centric approach to the work we do so the fit was perfect."
