A MAN has been arrested after police found drugs and weapons including bayonets, kukri knives and a medieval flail at a home in Worcester.
The elicit items which include a knuckle duster, dagger and a cutlass were all found by police after officers carried out a warrant at Wasdale Court in Warndon.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and possession of prohibited weapons.
A search of the property revealed a quantity of cannabis worth £2,400, along with a mobile phone, cultivation equipment and around £1,000 in cash.
A substantial number of prohibited weapons were also found including, a knuckle duster, two machetes, two bayonets, two kukri knives, a dagger, a cutlass, a medieval flail and a diving knife.
Police constable Ben Sly said: “This morning (September 5) a quantity of drugs, along with weapons and money were recovered from the address and a man arrested after a warrant was carried out in Warndon.
“This warrant shows we will not tolerate drugs and weapons within our community and will continue to act on information given to us.
“The Warndon community can help us by continuing to report any signs of criminal activity to us – the easiest way to do this is on our website.
"Any bit of information, no matter how small it may seem, could help make a big difference.”
The man remains in police custody whilst the investigation continues.
