TWO abnormal loads will be travelling along the M5 and police have warned of traffic delays.
Drivers have been warned of traffic disruption on Monday and Tuesday (September 9 and 10).
The loads will be travelling from the M5 to Newent in the Forest of Dean and motorist have been advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson, said: "Police are escorting two abnormal loads through Gloucestershire on Monday morning (September 9).
"The loads will be escorted from the M5 to Newent in the Forest of Dean.
"The escort will leave at approximately 11.30am and take the following route: exiting the M5 southbound at Junction 11, travelling along the A40 and B4215 to Highleadon Green before arriving on Upleadon Road in Newent.
"The loads are both 4.5 metres wide and whilst traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or find alternative routes.
"Officers would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause."
Police are escorting an abnormal load through Gloucestershire on Tuesday morning (September 10).
Two Aircraft Fuselages are expected to depart from Cotswold Airport in Kemble at approximately 9.30am on Tuesday (September 9).
They will the be heading towards Cirencester on the A429 and joining the A419 before continuing onto the M4 with a final destination of North Lincolnshire.
The loads are both 4.9 metres wide and whilst traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or find alternative routes.
The spokesperson added: "Officers would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause."
