A popular theatre company is set to take audiences on a dramatic tour of the River Severn.

Stan’s Café will perform River Tours: The Severn, exploring one of the UK's best loved rivers.

The performance will be by the company's associate director, Craig Stephens, discussing the geography and history of the Severn.

Illustrations by artist Jo Teague are incorporated, with contributions from stitchers in Worcester, Tewkesbury and Shrewsbury.

Stan's Café, based in Birmingham since 1991, has created a series of similar river maps, including those of the Thame, the Indus, the Volga, and the Lune as part of the performance.

The show will be at Number 8 in Pershore on Friday, September 27 at 7.30pm.
