THE sun is setting over a quiet little street in Naples while you sit under the comfort of a parasol with a glass of dry rosé.

A suited and booted waiter has just brought over a freshly cooked pizza and, frankly, life feels like it could not get any better than this.

Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to fly to Italy just to get pizza.

But what if the next best thing is right on your doorstep?

Benvenuti Pizzeria is a new takeaway and cafe that promises an "authentic taste of Italy"—not from the streets of Naples but from Queen's Street in Droitwich

I had ordered the Spicy Calabrese for £14 and the Prosciutto e Funghi for £11.50.

One thing to note is that the pizzas are made fresh to order, and I recommend ordering from the comfort of your home and collecting your order rather than waiting in the cafe.

You may be standing around for a while - but Rome was not built in 15 minutes!

It matched the price of a pizza you may expect in a cheaper Italian restaurant and had the same quality I would expect if I were dining in.

I loved how both items I ordered were not greasy, a common theme with many take-out foods.

It made it feel more like I was eating restaurant-standard pizza from the comfort of my sofa.

The venue also lets customers eat in and it is a cafe during the day

The Spicy Calabrese was by far my favourite of the two (but then, I do love a kick of spice).

It was topped with San Marzano tomato, fior di latte mozzarella, nduja, chicken, chilli, and garlic olive oil.

My love for the Spicy Calabrese shadowed the very creamy and mild prosciutto e funghi.

It had been topped with fior di latte mozzarella, ham and mushrooms.

The two were very different vibes but had both been served with the same standard as each other.

Overall verdict of the food at Benvenuti Pizzeria

With the cost to fly over to Naples ranging from £80 for a return flight, I think Benvenuti Pizzeria may be the better and cheaper option for foodies looking for their next Italian cuisine hit.

It may not provide the exact atmosphere as if you're sitting on an Italian street, but food-wise, I would argue it is up there.

I would definitely recommend trying this eatery, especially as it is one of the few Italian takeaways in the small town of Droitwich.
