THE city council is generating record levels of income from the collection of trade waste.
Worcester City Council expects the service to generate £990,000 across the year - £50,000 above budget.
The council service, which issues quarterly invoices, now has more than 600 customers.
Figures were published in a financial monitoring report that went before members of the council’s policy and resources committee on Tuesday (September 3).
The council also expects to bring in £728,000 from the collection of garden waste this year.
The report also shows there has been a £30,000 reduction in the cost of disposing of trade waste.
