URGENT repairs to a railway bridge in Worcester have caused long delays for drivers.
Newtown Road tunnel was closed on Monday (September 3) after a safety inspection by Network Rail found parts of the bridge were collapsing.
The road will be closed until Sunday, September 15.
Traffic that would normally use Newtown Road to pass Shrub Hill is now being diverted via the Tolladine Road tunnel.
It is causing significant tailbacks along Newtown Road, Tolladine Road and Sherriff Street during peak hours of the day.
