ANOTHER penguin statue has been fenced off after its feet became damaged while three more are still under repair.

Conservenguin, found on the High Street, has been fenced off after cracks began to appear in the sculpture's feet so it has been fenced off to protect it from further damage.

A St Richard's Hospice spokesperson reminded trail followers to take care of the statues by not standing on the tails or the feet of the penguins.

Kingfisher Azure, Starlit Journey and Percy, who were all located along Bromwich Parade, were removed from the trail on Tuesday, August 20, after being vandalised.

A spokesperson for the Waddle said: "We know you all are excited to be reunited with our trio of poorly penguins.

"The good news is that all three have had their fibreglass repaired.

"We've now started the repainting and re-varnishing process, which requires several coats plus drying time in between.

"Rest assured, we're working hard to get them back out soon.

"We should know more on when we can do that in the next few days once the initial coats have dried."
