RESIDENTS can expect one last blast of summer sun as the school holidays draw to a closed, with temperatures set to climb over the weekend.
According to the Met Office, Worcester can expect temperatures to reach 23c on Saturday (August 31) and as high as 25c on Sunday (September 1).
Sadly, sunbathing will be off the table for those hoping to get their last bit of tanning in, with the skies expected to be overcast for much of the weekend.
Pershore, which was named the hottest place in the UK over the bank holiday, will receive similar weather, with highs of 23c and 25c on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Visitors heading to Droitwich Salt Fest will be able to enjoy the celebration in dry weather, even if the sun is hidden behind the clouds.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the low 20s throughout next week for a warm start to September.
