Free one-to-one business consultancy is being extended to bolster the tourism industry in Worcestershire.

After celebrating the successful run of the previous programme, a new round of complimentary consultancy from Visit Worcestershire and Worcestershire County Council will be launched.

73 small to medium-sized firms have received consultancy over the span of three years.

The programme is slated to offer a broad spectrum of advice and guidance for businesses needing focus in key areas such as team development, diversification, and marketing strategies.

Councillor Adam Kent, the cabinet member for economy and skills at the council, said: "Supporting our tourism businesses is crucial for the growth of Worcestershire's economy.

"This extended consultancy programme demonstrates our commitment to helping local enterprises thrive in a competitive market.

"By providing tailored, one-on-one support, we are equipping businesses with the tools they need to innovate, grow, and continue contributing to our vibrant visitor economy."

He added: "The success of the previous programme shows the tangible impact this support can have, and I am confident that this new round of assistance will be just as effective in fostering resilience and growth in our tourism sector."

Visit Worcestershire plans to again support businesses ranging from providers of accommodation to visitor attractions, with an estimated 240 hours of face-to-face support over a two-year period.
