Happy Hearts is proud of its roster of carers, which reflects the culturally diverse nature of the West Midlands, and are seeking to continue to build on these strong foundations.

“The referrals we get are from all cultural backgrounds. Initial recruitment has been successful, but the need is greater than ever, said Jayne, who has been with Happy Hearts from its inception, having previously graduated with a degree in social work at Worcester University and working for several years with the local authority.

“We want to be a diverse agency, but with a child-focused values, which reflects the West Midlands. We want to be able to meet the child’s needs.”

Founded in 2021 by Rizwan and Nayla, to meet the needs of children and young people who require high quality foster placements, Happy Hearts is a small, independent, family run fostering agency.

“Rizwan and Nayla are great to work with. We all have the same aim – to build a family-run, child-focused agency.”

There’s no aspect of fostering that Jayne, Rizwan and Nayla are not familiar with or have not experienced themselves, which places Happy Hearts in the perfect position to advise prospective foster carers, while offering unwavering support to new and established carers.

“What I think is important and we share at the very start is that Rizwan and Nayla are foster carers. They understand what it is like to foster

“They will give you the confidence that you will be looked after and supported and walk you through every step of the process, and you will get all the resources needed to do the role of foster carer.

“To see a child in your care thrive and develop, knowing you are making a difference to that child’s life, is very rewarding.

“And we don’t forget a family’s birth children, either, they are very much included in the activities, too. They are very much part of the fostering family.”
