A MAN guilty of harassing and assaulting a woman has been given a community order.
Ben Alford, of Swanpool Walk, St Johns, Worcester was found guilty of harassment without violence at Kidderminster Magistrates Court.
The 32-year-old must complete 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and pay £250 compensation.
Alford harassed a woman in Worcester between August 12 and September 5 last year, the court heard on Wednesday, August 14.
He must also pay £400 court costs and a surcharge of £114 by Wednesday, September 11.
On the same date at court, Alford also pleaded guilty to assault by beating which took place on Friday, April 14 last year.
He was given a restraining order not to contact the victim directly or indirectly including via any form of social media.
There was no extra order for costs as it was awarded for the other matter put before the court.
