THE county has an abundance of cafes ready to serve coffee and cake but only a few also offer a riverside view.

We all love coffee shops and there is no way to enjoy one better than while you are along the River Severn in Worcestershire. 

We have compiled a list of the top cafes along the Severn so you can enjoy the river, rain or shine.

1. Riverside Cafe 

Where: Severn Side North, Bewdley, DY12 2EE

The cafe provides outdoor seating right next to the river and has great views of Bewdley Bridge.

It also has indoor seating, which also overlooks the river.

 2. Cafe Viaduct

Where: Grand Stand Road, Worcester, WR1 3EJ

It provides a well-deserved pit stop after a long walk around the racecourse or a great spot to watch boats go by.

There is also a business that provides boat rides nearby. 

3. Café Afloat

Where: Basin Road, Worcester, WR5 3BW

Although the river cannot be spotted from outside the cafe, it is a short, minute-long walk out of the marina.

Its unique concept and location make it ideal for those looking for a pitstop while on their way around the river. 

4. The Windlass Café 

Where: Severn Side, Stourport-on-Severn, DY13 9EN

It sits on the River Severn and the canal, providing visitors with two patches of water to look at.
