HEARTFELT tributes have been paid to a "bubbly" retired firefighter who died in a crash on a road near Worcester.
"Proud grandad" and "devoted husband" Andy Hirons died after a BMW 120D crashed into two motorbikes in Pershore Lane in Spetchley on August 15.
His daughter, Kim Walker, said he was the type of man who loved to laugh and could bring a smile to anyone's face.
The 53-year-old, from Evesham, was passionate about motorbikes and could often be seen taking part in the annual Christmas Santa Run or raising funds with his old fire colleagues at Pebworth Fire Station.
"He loved it all," said Mrs Walker.
"He was loving life with plenty of new friends in this great biking community he was a part of.
"He worked hard, was never ill and felt guilty if he didn't go to work as he knew it would make someone else's job harder.
"He was always thinking of others and gave his all to work, family and friends."
The father of three also previously worked as a farmer, a driver, in the security industry and became a "valued member of staff" at Unipart Honeybourne for 24 years.
Throughout his career, Andy has always had his beloved wife, Tracey, by his side, and the two recently shared their pearl wedding anniversary.
Mr Hirons is survived by his wife Tracey, his three children, Stacey, Kim and Steven, and his three grandchildren, Marcie, Eloise and Noah.
"It is heartbreaking to realise he will not get to watch them grow, as they loved him dearly. He was also a son, brother, uncle, cousin and in-law to many.
"Andy was a complete family man first and a cherished friend and colleague to many, many people."
Andy was killed while riding his motorbike with a couple of friends while on his way to a bike meet in Worcester.
Mrs Walker said he was in an "unavoidable collision through no fault of his own, in which he stood no chance".
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have seen the vehicles travelling before the crash.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact PC Danny Somner on 01905 973063 or email danny.somner@westmercia.police.uk.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving.
