A major road has been reopened after a lorry had hit a railway bridge.
Worcestershire County Council announced on Wednesday (August 21) via their Highways & Travel account on X, formerly Twitter, that the B4084 between Worcester and Pershore near the Worcestershire Parkway Railway Bridge is now open after repairs to the bridge were carried out by National Rail.
The structure to the bridge was damaged and a closure had been in place since Monday (August 12), causing delays and disruption for drivers.
Repairs were due to be completed by Sunday (August 18), however National Rail were delayed. A spokesperson for National Rail said: "The soffit of the bridge was in a poorer state than first thought so extra brickwork repairs where required."
