PENGUIN fans will be able to see the statues for a final time all in one place after the trail heads out of the city in September
Every penguin in the Waddle of Worcester will be on show at Worcestershire County Cricket Club for the first two weekends in October after they leave the city on Sunday, September 15.
It will be the first time all 80 penguins will be together and the last chance to see them before they are auctioned off to raise money for St Richard's Hospice.
Sara Matthews, business development manager for St Richard’s Hospice, said: “We’re so excited to offer this opportunity before our happy huddle leave the city for their forever homes.
“It’s going to be fantastic to see all 80 of our penguins together, plus two bonus babies which are up for grabs in our raffle and at auction. We hope to see everyone waddling with us for a final time."
Tickets to the outdoor event sponsored by Piston Distillery cost £6 for adults and £3 for children aged between two and 16.
Grace Stringer, managing director of Piston Distillery, which is sponsoring the farewell events, said: “The great Waddle of Worcester has been a wonderful way to get us all out and about this summer and has brought so much joy to trail-goers big and small.
“The farewell events are the perfect way to recapture some of that art trail magic and to support a charity which does so much for the community here in Worcestershire.
"We can’t wait to see to them all huddled together, including Ice-Ickle who we’ve loved looking after during the trail.”
Family tickets for either two adults, two children or one adult, three children are available for £15 and proceeds from the farewell events will support the free care and support that St Richard’s Hospice provides to local patients and their families.
After the event, all 40 penguins will be auctioned off plus Ice-Ickle chick, whilst the remaining chicks will be returned to the schools and groups which decorated them.
