A travel guide publisher has teamed up with a national pet charity to launch a new children's book that you can get your hands on for free in Worcester.

The collaboration between Lonely Planet and Blue Cross has produced the 'Atlas of Cats', which aims to educate children about feline diversity while promoting the fostering of cats.

The books can be obtained for free from the Blue Cross charity shop on 18 Mealcheapen Street in the city, with the travel guide publisher pledging to donate £10 to the charity for each copy.

Alyson Jones, director of Rehoming and Fostering at Blue Cross, said: "Pets thrive in a home environment and our foster carers help us to prepare these pets for their new homes and understand the kind of forever home we need to find for them, while opening up space in our rehoming centres to help even more animals in desperate need."
