Artists will be in focus at an upcoming village fair.

This will be the fifth year that the village of Inkberrow will host its Art Fair, a tradition that began during the 2020 lockdown.

Artist John Harris had first suggested the event, inviting other artists who started painting during lockdown to present their work on the Village Green.

Unexpectedly, 14 artists attended the masked and socially distanced event, setting up makeshift stalls with chairs, tables, and blankets, ready to pack away in case of rain.

The event proved successful and quickly developed into an annual tradition.

It had been the first time many had left their homes since the start of the pandemic.

This year, visitors can enjoy artwork from numerous artists and crafters.

The event is free, however there will be a raffle, with the winner in with a chance to win an original John Harris painting in a £1 raffle, benefiting the community's 100 Tree Project.

There are two pubs - The Bull's Head and the Old Bull - at each end of the green offering coffee and food.

The fair takes place on Bank Holiday Monday (August 26), from 10am to 5pm on the Village Green.
