VISITORS can wander through thousands of colourful flowers after a popular garden centre opened its newest experience.
Customers were blown away today (Saturday) at Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold after it finally opened its Flora Fields to the public.
The experience showcases 52 varieties of dahlias which are all ready for visitors to pick and make their own bouquets.
Webbs Garden Centre co-owner Louise Webb is passionate about freshly cut flowers and wanted to create an experience where her customers can pick their own while also enjoying various colours.
She also decided to name the experience after her daughter, Flora.
Flora Fields also allows visitors to take photos with some of the attraction's props, like a bright pink old-fashioned tractor, and chill out in a rustic tipi, which also has a selection of children's games.
Mrs Webb said: "I am thrilled to bring Flora Feilds to life for everyone to experience.
"The team at Webbs has planted 7000 dahlia tubers, now blooming beautifully.
"We are expecting a spectacular display."
It took the Webbs ground team four months to create Flora Fields, which involved constant pruning and daily care of the flowers.
Craig Leddington, grounds and nursery manager, said: "It is very rewarding and probably looks better than we had hoped, which is really nice."
He said staff were tasked with transforming the empty field to its current glory in May and worked hard to hand-plant all 7000 dahlia tubers.
"I think out of all the events we have done, this is the one I have enjoyed the most," said Sarah Brooks, Head of Brand.
"It is just so lovely and aesthetically so beautiful, and from everything, like coming up with branding and seeing it progress.
"Even a couple of weeks ago, we did not think it would come out like this now.
"It has suddenly burst into life and is such a lovely event to put on.
"It is a creative process but also a very mindful activity to share with friends, family and children."
Flora Feilds are next to The Riverside Gardens by the garden centre's overflow car park.
