A RARE coin commemorating the Commonwealth Games and sold by someone from Worcester has fetched almost 15 times its face value.
A Commonwealth Games commemorative £2 coin from 2002 has been sold for £29.72 on eBay by a seller from Worcester.
According to Change Checker, the 2002 Commonwealth Games Northern Ireland £2 coin 'is officially the most scarce £2 coin in the UK, ranking as 100 on our Scarcity Index'.
The coin was minted with the flags of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with the Northern Ireland flag being the rarest.
It might be hard to spot because he only difference between England’s ‘St George Cross’ flag and Northern Ireland’s ‘Ulster Banner’ flag is the ‘Red Hand of Ulster’, the star and the crown which feature at the centre.
