The summer holidays are in full swing but you may be looking ahead to the coming school year already.

Perhaps you're scrambling to arrange school uniforms and get all the necessary stationary, or maybe you're looking ahead to find the ideal dates for a week away.

Worcestershire County Council has released the term dates for the coming school year from September 2024 until July 2025, meaning parents, students and teachers can get themselves organised ahead of the coming term.

Here are all the key dates you need to know ahead of the academic year - however, it is important to remember schools will also set their own teach training day, known as TED days.

Autumn term

  • Schools re-open on Monday, September 2
  • Final day before mid term break is Friday, October 25
  • Schools open again on Monday, November 4

Christmas

  • Final day of school before Christmas break is Friday, December 20
  • Students return to school on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Spring term

  • Final day before mid term break is Friday, February 14.
  • Schools open again at Monday, February 24
  • Final day before Easter break is Friday, April 11.

Summer term

  • Students return from Easter break on Monday, April 28
  • Final day before mid term break is Friday, May 23
  • School opens again on Monday, June 2
  • Final day of summer term is Monday, July 21.

Parents are encouraged to check specific term dates with their child's school, as teacher training days and end of year exam dates could mean that term times between various Worcestershire schools could differ.
