Housebuilders have purchased the land for two brand-new housing developments in Stourport.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes have acquired the land at Pearl Lane to build two new developments called The Pearls and The Brambles.
A total of 329 properties will be made available with Barratt Homes planning to build 129 two, three and four-bedroom properties at The Pearls whilst David Wilson Homes will build 118 two, three and four-bedroom properties at The Brambles.
The remaining 82 homes will be designated as affordable housing.
Adrian Evans, managing director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: "We are overjoyed to build new homes in Stourport and continue our investment in the area.
"We look forward to providing new opportunities for people to progress on the property ladder and new jobs for local people during the construction process."
The housebuilders said the new developments will give commuters convenient access to the A449 which leads to both Kidderminster and Worcester.
Stourport town centre also benefits from its renowned entertainment facilities, beautiful canal landscapes and highly-rated schools.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes said the acquisition furthers their "commitment to making properties accessible and affordable for a wide range of buyers whilst also making strikes to create eco-friendly and ecologically enhanced communities."
Helen Lewis, managing director at David Wilson Homes Mercia, added: "We aim to provide the people of Stourport with a range of high-quality properties that perfectly suit the needs of this growing community.
"We will enjoy this opportunity to invest in the town and enhance its biodiversity with new wildlife habitats."
Barratt and David Wilson Homes said they are eager to continue helping the community of Stourport to flourish and to work alongside local groups to offer support for the town's new and existing residents.
