Visitors to Worcester's summer penguin trail could get their hands on a free holiday.

The lucky visitor could win a trip to Morocco thanks to a special bonus plaque revealing the chance to win the vacation on one of the sculptures, 'Penguin on Holiday'.

Found at The Cross, the penguin is one of 80 that have been brought to the city by St Richard's Hospice for the 'Waddle of Worcester'.

The special plaque is courtesy of the penguin's sponsor, arrangeMY escape.

Jennifer Lynch, general manager at arrangeMY escape, said: "We're so excited to be involved in our second art trail, supporting our friends at St Richard’s Hospice.

"This is very important to us as a family-run business."

She added: “’Penguin on Holiday’ is such a relatable character, capturing that holiday vibe perfectly in his Hawaiian shirt and flip flops.

"He’s bringing such fun to local people of all ages, we thought it would be brrr-illiant to offer a free holiday too.

"Can you imagine finding out a family trip for four to Morocco is all yours?

"We can’t wait to contact the lucky winner in the autumn and tell them the good news.”

The penguin parade will remain in Worcester until Sunday, September 15.

Once it ends, there will be a final gathering of all the 80 penguins before they, including one special baby penguin, get auctioned off to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice.

Sara Matthews, business development manager for St Richard’s Hospice, said: "Sponsors like arrangeMY escape enable us to cover the running costs of the great Waddle of Worcester and deliver a fun, free day out for local families.

"We’re so grateful to all our partners and sponsors who make the trail possible."
