FOUR fines were handed to drivers for using mobile phones during one police patrol in Evesham.

It comes after the community expressed concerns to Evesham SNT over motorist using their mobile phone while driving. 

A spokesperson for Evesham SNT said: PC 22551 Stewart conducted a Road Operation to offer advice and issue Traffic Tickets following concerns from the community about motorists using their mobile phones while driving. 

"During this operation, four tickets were issued, and words of advice were given to another motorist. 

"Please remember it is an offence to be on your phone when driving and can lead to 6 points on your licence and a £200 fine."
