A DRIVER is due in court charged with careless driving, having no booster seat for a child passenger and not wearing a seatbelt.
Damien Spillane is accused of using a motor vehicle on the M5 near Worcester in a manner likely to cause danger, careless driving and driving without wearing a seatbelt.
The case was adjourned following a hearing at Worcester Magistrates Court on August 8.
The 43-year-old of School Road, Moseley, Birmingham, is accused of using a Mercedes C220 in a manner likely to cause danger on the M5 between junction 8 (Strensham) and 7 (Worcester South) on November 24 last year.
It is claimed this is because 'there were no car seats/booster seats for the rear seat passenger namely a child, was such that its use involved a danger of injury to any person'.
He faces further charges of driving without due care and attention on the M5 on the same date and without wearing a seatbelt.
The next case management hearing will be at Worcester Magistrates Court on August 29.
