AN annual music festival which "brings the community together" is going ahead for its sixth year and organisers hope it will be better than ever.
Wychfest, a two-day music festival organised by the Droitwich Rugby Club, regularly brings the town together.
Organisers said this year they have upped the standards once again.
The festival raises vital funds for the club and community.
Iain Thomas, chairman of Droitwich Rugby Club, said: "Our music festival will be held on the Saturday and Sunday (August 24 and August 25) of the bank holiday weekend and we will have a variety of acts for everyone.
"This year we have upped the standard of the performers once again but we have also kept some of the favourites from last year including a Pink tribute act and an Abba tribute act.
"We will be continuing to serve food and drink across the weekend as well as providing a camping site and comparing it to other festivals it's really cheap, only £20 for the two days."
This year's food vendors will be Pizza Heaven, Manny's Eats, Brisket Bros and Droitwich Desserts.
Mr Thomas continued: "It's pretty relaxed throughout the weekend, it's not heaving as we have huge amounts of space.
"The whole event is family oriented and we normally have hundreds of people return each year because it's something different and helps local causes.
"There's lots of space and families tend of come down with their chairs and relax whilst listening to the music.
"We started it six years ago because we wanted to hold more events for the community and it has been so successful that we have just kept it going."
All the money raised by Wychfest goes into helping the club and the community.
Mr Thomas said: "If I was talking to someone who was thinking about coming, I would say that they should absolutely give it a go.
"It's good value even if they only went for one day, they will have a great time and parents can relax without any issues.
"It's a fun family orientated event and there will even be a bouncy castle."
